How to Climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania in seven days
On the first day, arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi Kenya from your home country. You will be met by a tour guide of your choice company who will direct you to an already booked hotel where you will have meals and spend the night. On the second day after breakfast the guide will pick you up from the hotel and drive to Namanga which is the Kenya Tanzania border. After all the formalities, you will be directed by another guide, a Tanzania representative of the tour company you chose. He will take you to Arusha for lunch and afterwards drive you to Moshi where you will spend the night in a luxurious lodging at the base of the climb.
On the third day, you will be transferred from your Lodging to Kilimanjaro National Park Gate at Marangu. This is where your climb and trek starts. You will trek through the lush forest to Mandara Hut which is 9000ft. Here, you will stay overnight. On the fourth day, you will continue the trek to Horombo Hut that is 12335 ft high. Here you will spend the night. On the fifth day, you will continue ascending to reach Saddle which is a flat area between the Kibo and Mawenzi peaks. You will spend the night at Kibo hut which is 15520 ft high.
On the sixth day before dawn, you head to the last stage of the climb. This stage is very tough as the rocks are loose. You will arrive at Gillman's point after five hours. This will be shortly before dawn. You will go on to Uhuru Peak which is at the 19344 ft mark. You will have breakfast at the peak then start descending to the Kibo hut for lunch then to Horombo where you will spend the night. On the seventh day, you will descend to the park gate from where you will be taken to a Hotel for the night. After breakfast in the morning, you will return to Nairobi where you will catch a flight back home.
